Margot PerrymanMargot Perryman has been referred to as 'a musician of colour'. Born in Plymouth in 1938, she studied all aspects of art at Harrow School of Art before specialising in painting at The Slade School of Fine Art. Her colourful, evocative paintings draw the viewer into another world beyond the need for explicit meaning. She has paintings in numerous major public and corporate collections, including The Tate Gallery, London, Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge and the Government Art Collection (which places works of art in UK embassies and offices throughout the world). Her work is in private collections in France, India, USA, Germany, New Zealand and in the United Kingdom. "My vision and purpose is to exhilarate with colour; I need to be moved by the colours I use o they need to resonate, to `singa o and like music transport me and the viewer into a visual experience that transcends words." |
